It is made from Technora aramid fiber, which raises abrasion resistance and overall durability compared with nylon or polyester cord.

Its grip comes from a hollow-braid construction, so it bites securely when tied as a prusik or Klemheist knot on a rope. Sterling recommends it for ropes of 7 mm or larger. Because the loop is sewn rather than knotted, there is no bulky tail and the loop length stays consistent.

Pre-sewn 13.5 in loop, 6.8 mm diameter

Color: natural

Technora fiber for abrasion resistance and durability

Hollow-braid construction for strong grip

Use as a prusik or Klemheist knot on ropes

Minimum breaking strength: 14.0 kN (3,147 lb), per Sterling Rope

Recommended use: climbing and rescue

Made in the USA by Sterling Rope

Inspect friction hitches before each use and retire them if the fiber shows cuts, glazing or heavy wear.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0970/4511/9267/files/aa6aa05c25bf1b6f3c31e2bfd21838a5efa85bc3b8e93bc820eade2ea9548e5a__09031.1779321448.jpg?v=1792937336
